Pet Portraits by Himanshi
My name is Himanshi Goyal and I’m a professional artist based in India. I specialise in pet portraits and primarily work in color pencils and pastels, and sometimes graphite upon request.
Growing up in a small town, I have never had pets as a child and interacting with animals came slowly to me than most. Most of my early memories come from the stray cats and dogs who would visit my home and stay with us for a few days before going to their own adventures. My drawings and paintings have been another way for me to connect and I have been doing it professionally for a few years now. The stories and conversations with my clients that come with these are a beautiful aspect that I wasn’t expecting.

"Here's the picture I had commissioned for my daughter. This is her cat Sebastian whom she raised since he was a kitten, found by my sister Kathy and brought to us from the streets of Pottstown. He is now almost 16 years old. This picture was taken many years ago when he was playing catch on the top of the cat tree.
